Guwahati and Shillong are both located in the northeastern part of the Indian state of Meghalaya. The distance between Guwahati and Shillong is approximately 100 kilometers and there are several options for traveling between the two cities: 

 By Car or Taxi: One of the most convenient ways to travel from Guwahati to Shillong is by car or taxi. The trip takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the traffic and road conditions. There are several car rental services  in Guwahati and taxis can be hired from the airport or bus station. 

  By Bus: There are several government and private buses plying between Guwahati and Shillong. The journey takes around 3-4 hours and tickets can be purchased from Guwahati Bus Station.

 By Shared Taxi: Shared taxis are a popular mode of transport in the Northeast region of India. Shared taxis between Guwahati and Shillong are located in the Paltan Bazaar area of ​​Guwahati and take around 2-3 hours. 

  By Train: There is no direct train service between Guwahati and Shillong. However, the nearest railway station to Shillong is Guwahati and several trains from major Indian cities  connect to Guwahati. You can go to Shillong from Guwahati by bus or taxi. 

 Transportation must be booked in advance, especially during peak hours.
